Introduction
Jumaqui Mamani is a unique artist, with a distinctive style that deeply connects with the heart and soul of those who observe his work. He was born on the shores of Lake Titicaca, at 4,000 meters of altitude, in Puno, Peru. His family environment was always full of art, music, and sports. From a young age, he grew up within the School of Fine Arts of Puno, where his mother worked and managed a restaurant. With an intense passion for color, beauty, and creativity, Jumaqui knew from an early age that his destiny was to live in the world of art. His style has evolved over time thanks to his experiences in different countries. Although his roots are in South America, he spent more than a decade in France and currently resides in Miami, Florida. For 12 years, he worked and trained with the French artist Dago, actively participating in galleries and on the artistic streets of France. There he perfected techniques for murals, caricatures, portraits, art restoration, painting, and calligraphy. In 2013, he expanded his artistic vision with the creation of Best of Times Dance Studio, a 4,500 square foot space in Miami where he has taught salsa for over 20 years.
